Con 62 votos a favor, 7 en contra y 6 abstenciones el Pleno del Congreso de la República aprobó,  tras 15 años de espera, la Ley del Derecho a Consulta Previa de los Pueblos Indígenas u Originarios, reconocidos en el Convenio 169 de la OIT.
